Dolly Lucio Sevier, MD

Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics

Dr. Sevier is a proud Brownsville native. She went to Egly Elementary, Oliveira Middle School and Hanna High School. She exceled in UIL and student council and enjoyed her time as an acceptable member of the tennis and diving teams. Music and theater also enriched her childhood, starting from the piano lab at Egly through summers at Camille Playhouse and choir at Oliveira and Hanna.

She went on to graduate with honors from UT Austin with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and minor in Biology.

She then attended UT Southwestern in Dallas, one of the top medical schools in the country. She enjoyed new friendships, student activities and most of all enjoyed studying (!) while in medical school. It was here where she met her wonderful husband Graham.

Her residency in pediatrics was at Children’s Health in Dallas, one of the best children’s hospital in the nation and Parkland Hospital, one of the largest hospitals in the country. The education she received there is the basis of her ability to provide excellent care for children from common colds to rare diseases.

She enjoys connecting with kids in her office (teens included!), teaching, riding her bike to work, camping with her family, and attending her (now virtual) book club meetings filled with empowering women. She is grateful for her husband and the family and friends that surround her and help shape the character of her two sweet children Clara and Mateo.
